Hakata Station Underground Pick-up Area and Parking Lot: Fees and Access from the Hakata Side

The Hakata Station Underground Pick-up Area is a parking facility on basement level 2 (B2) on the Hakata side of Hakata Station. The operator calls it “博多駅地下駐車場” (Hakata Station Underground Parking Lot), while Fukuoka City describes it as “博多駅地下駐車場(送迎場),” identifying it as both a parking and pick-up/drop-off facility. It is directly connected to Hakata Station, making it convenient to reach the station without going outside in the rain. The facility uses an entry and exit gate.

Waiting is not permitted in the passenger loading zones in Hakata Station’s station-front plaza. If you need to wait for someone, use the underground pick-up area. There is no charge if you exit within 15 minutes of entering.

Vehicles cannot enter or exit outside operating hours. Parking fees continue to accrue while entry and exit are unavailable, so allow enough time to leave before closing.

At the advance payment machine, ¥10,000 and ¥5,000 notes cannot be used. If you need to use either denomination, pay at the exit machine. Check the on-site signs for currently accepted payment brands and conditions.
